In Sundown Fashion, we created a playlist with a diverse range of sounds and genres. 

 

Sundown Radio 8 evokes the change of seasons. From long warm days, to short cool nights.

Overall Sundown Radio 8 evokes a feeling of longing for summer. A rememberance for the longer days and an acceptance of the cooler nights. As the song "Fly Away" by Laidback suggests, we are flying away from summer and welcoming fall with open arms.

 

A mix of some nostalic oldies like Amy Winehouse, Cymanide and the Clash pair well with the beachy sounds of Kelley Stoltz and the reverberated Lord Echo emphasizing the nostalgic yearing for the summer sun.

 

This yearning for summer is not sad however, as one of my favorite times of the year is Fall in San Diego. You wake up to the brisk morning air and a cloudless sky. You can wear whatever you want; winter coat, shorts, shirt, bathing suit, etc. and no one will care. It is a time of function, where you must be prepared to transition dynamically from the cool morning air to the warm afternoon light and not miss a beat.
